As I step into Season 3 of World’s Your Oysta, I find myself reflecting on a topic that resonates deeply with me: the notion of waiting for opportunities to find us. Why are we conditioned to think that success is something that comes knocking at our doors, rather than something we can create for ourselves? If I waited for an opportunity to start this show to find me, well…the truth is I would still be waiting, sad, and dying to use my voice for something good.

We live in a world that often teaches us to be passive, to wait our turn, and to follow a predetermined path. But the truth is, that mindset only leads to frustration and stagnation. The real magic happens when we take ownership of our lives and actively create the opportunities we desire.

What I want to remind you—and myself—is that we all have the power to embrace our own yessness. This means saying “yes” to our potential, our dreams, and our unique paths. Instead of waiting for validation or the perfect moment, let’s be proactive. Let’s be open to creating our own opportunities, whether that’s through networking, starting a new project, or simply believing in ourselves.
